Sustainability in VET training
The activities will be carried out in Poland and Norway in the period from October 1, 2021 to September 31, 2023.
The project "Sustainability in VET training" aims to modernize the curricula of 5 selected vocational fields at schools from the Wroclaw region in Poland, with content related to sustainable development. For this reason, a project was developed involving various partners representing a stakeholder from the non-governmental sector, another from Polish public education and a local entrepreneur from Norway.
The project partnership consists of three organizations:
Semper Avanti - Main Partner
Wrocław Municipality - Institutional Partner
Håskog - Norwegian partner
The project aims to directly impact 72 teachers and principals from Poland, a network of experts from both countries, and representatives of entrepreneurs will participate. Indirectly, the project aims to reach at least 300 young people per year.
As part of the activities, five teams consisting of teachers, entrepreneurs and vocational education experts will be established. In addition, a sixth team, composed of management staff at educational institutions, will prepare implementation recommendations and proposals for a general change in the education system in terms of sustainable development. Each team of participants will participate in a 3-day study visit to Norway, where they will gather experiences and solutions from Norwegian actors in education and entrepreneurship.
The results of the work developed in these seminars will be presented at a final conference in Poland.
The main deliverable of the project will be the preparation of recommendations in the form of curriculum entries for five subject areas that introduce elements of sustainable development while taking care of both the social and natural environment.
